For years, the main agricultural routes in Los Realejos have been traveled by farmers, residents, and visitors who, despite their historical and natural value, lacked adequate signage and accessible information about their routes and points of interest. This lack of resources hampered both the promotion of rural heritage and users' access to useful information along their routes.
With the "Agricultural Paths in Los Realejos" project, we have responded to this need by installing interpretive tables with QR codes, developing informative content about each route, and creating an interactive web application that allows users to consult maps and data. In this way, we bring information to everyone, promoting more accessible rural tourism and an enriching experience for farmers and visitors.
We are proud to have carried out the "Agricultural Routes in Los Realejos" project, an initiative promoted by the Department of General Services and funded by the General Directorate of Agriculture of the Government of the Canary Islands. This project, developed in the rural area of Palo Blanco (Los Realejos), aims to raise awareness and enhance the municipality's agricultural heritage through a combination of interpretive signage and digital tools.
A tour of 10 agricultural paths in the municipality of Los Realejos
Our team was responsible for the georeferencing and signage of the main agricultural roads, including:
Camino Atravesado
Camino Viñático
Camino Los Angostos
Camino Los Tres Pinos
Camino Cruz del Castaño
Camino Las Helecheras
Pista Rural Chanajiga
Camino Rural El Madroño
Camino Las Arenitas
Caserío El Sauce
Each of these points now features interpretive tables made of durable materials (treated wood and outdoor vinyl), designed to blend into the surroundings and offer useful information to both residents and tourists.

In addition to physical signage, we developed a mobile WebApp that offers interactive route information, including:
Maps and trail layouts (with offline download for areas without coverage).
Geolocated points of interest.
Fact sheets on crops and elements of local interest.
QR codes on each table for easy access to information.
The web app, developed with React, Leaflet, and GeoJSON data, is optimized for mobile devices and provides a responsive and accessible user experience.

Our work in numbers
10 interpretive tables designed, manufactured and installed.
24 agricultural roads georeferenced using GPS.
Additional improvements
As an added value, we produce a HD-quality promotional video and a professional photo report, helping to promote the project on social media and digital platforms.
